Student Blogging Challenge: Week 5

I go to St. Ignatius School in Pennsylvania, USA. I joined reading olympics in 4th grade and I absolutely love it. In reading olympics, you have a list of 45 books you can read. You don’t have to read all of them, but you should definitely read as many as you can.  You then have a competition in April with your team. The moderators or judges ask you questions about the books you read. My team won a blue ribbon last year, which is first place!

  1. Hi, Julia!

My name is Mrs. Wohlafka, and I am a commenter for Student Blogging Challenge Week 5.

I like how you made a survey about your school!

That’s great that your team won first place last year in Reading Olympics! What is your favorite book you read for Reading Olympics this school year so far?

    • Hi Mrs. Wohlafka,
Thank you for commenting on my post. My favorite book I have read for Reading Olympics is either Wings Of Fire or Flora And Ulysses.

      • I am also bjerring, so you did receive my comment.

Since you liked “Flora and Ulysses”, you might enjoy “The One and Only Ivan” by Katherine Applegate.

        I am a children’s librarian in a public library.

  2. Hi Julia,
I am Miss Aparna and one of the commenters for the student blogging challenge.
Congratulations to you and your team on winning the blue ribbon! Wish you good luck ( and happy reading!) with this year’s competition as well. Do keep us posted on how that goes, it must be sometime this month.
I love reading too. I like your school survey. I am curious what you do in your break. Looking back on my school days I always, always ate in my break; I was too hungry all the time!!
    Happy blogging!

    • Hi Miss Aparna,

  3. The thing I like about your school is how it has an olympics team and students are able to join. Im also interested in hearing more about your school. If you were to add something to your school, what would you want and why?

    • Hello,
Thanks for commenting on my post! If I were too add something to my school it would be lockers. I would love to have my own locker and put whatever I want in it. Do you like your school?
